Facebook engagement : 8 effective methods

When posting on Facebook, consider your desired target audience. This person is likely to be interested in your content and share it on their profile, which generates a higher rate of engagement.

November 17, 2021

It takes a lot of time and effort to manage a Facebook page, so it’s normal to feel discouraged when you see declining community engagement with your page. This is probably due to Facebook’s algorithm, which promotes the visibility of Facebook friends’ posts, as opposed to those from businesses.

Fortunately, there are 8 simple ways to get people involved.

1- Make content shareable

When posting on Facebook, consider your desired target audience. This person is likely to be interested in your content and share it on their profile, which generates a higher rate of engagement.

2- Link your Facebook page to your website

To take Facebook engagement to the next level, consider linking your account to the company website. Visitors will automatically notice the content and be motivated to subscribe.

3- More video content

Videos are emotionally compelling and evocative, which makes them an effective channel for engagement. Facebook’s algorithm promotes videos, since they encourage people to react and spend more time on the platform.

4- Integrate groups

Facebook groups can reach a wider audience than a simple page. When you join groups in your industry sector, people will be looking for your content!

You don’t need to join an existing group, because you can start your own content- sharing group. Engagement will increase as those who are keenly interested are more likely to join.

5- Generate feedback

Facebook’s algorithms favour comment-heavy posts. When someone comments on a post, it’s very important to respond quickly. If you want to appeal to Facebook’s algorithm, you need lively conversations and “live” content!

6- Publish during rush hour

To maximize the scope of your content, we recommend publishing at the right time, i.e., when the platform is at peak traffic hours. With Facebook, it pays to publish between 12 noon and 1 p.m. on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and between 12 noon and 3 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

7- Scope out the competition

It’s worth analyzing competitors who have large volumes of subscribers, because they offer valuable insights into successful engagement methods. Then, you can test those methods on your own page.

8- Facebook Ads

How do you generate content engagement? Advertising! Ads will fuel the content stream to your audience.

Facebook’s algorithm strongly favours platform-generated campaigns, which are a powerful strategy for increased engagement. For more help in this area, or if you simply want to hire a certified Facebook Ads agency, all you need to do is contact us!
